Summary
Less than 72 hours after the first session of the first round Alpha Innovation Contest on 10th August, the Alpha Incubation Group had held the second session contest at the Curtin University Graduate School of Business Perth CBD campus. So far, the presentations of the 19 projects that have been carefully selected and screened have all ended.
Compared with the 10 projects in the first session, the two groups of the second session (the subjects of the project are “medical and health care” and “excellent service industry”) are more grounded in terms of project content and financing needs. These include: EpiPen (epinephrine injection) Replacement; Lupin Powder; Sandalwood Seeds; GlycanAge-Difine Your Biological Age; Hybrid RF/Optical-Coherence-Tomography Catheter; Miniaturised pH sensor; The Little Gem Spa Café; Chechnology and Chourism. The last presenter has combined her two projects into one luxury customized travel service, her clear ideas and excellent presentation had won the praise of the judges.
Mr Rob Delane, Deputy Director General (International Education, Trade and Investment) at Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation)of the Western Australian Government, once again gave an opening speech for the contest. Then eight selected presenters made their debut, each of them talked professionally the key information and development goals of their projects, followed by well-founded answers to the questions of the judging panel.
