The Final Contest and Closing Ceremony of Alpha Innovation Contest 2019 Had Successfully Completed – the First, Second and Third Prize winners were announced

 

In the afternoon of 23rd August 2019, the final competition of the Alpha Innovation Contest 2019 was successfully held at the Conference Hall of Council Chambers of Edith Cowan University.

The Alpha Innovation Contest 2019 was organized by Alpha Incubation Group, Australian Education and Immigration Services and Sinosteel. The aim of the Contest is to bring together the representatives of authoritative large financial, technological and academic institutions, well-known venture capital institutions and relevant government departments of China and Australia, to explore great business models and technical strengths of the industry and promote industrial integration and healthy development. Since the commencement of registration for the Alpha Innovation Contest in April 2019 till the preliminary assessment in June and the First Round of each Contest Venue in August, nine finalist projects were selected for the Final Contest.

This year’s Contest has two major characteristics. First, the 200 million Australian dollars venture capital pool that was supported by a number of fund institutions and companies in China and Australia. Second, extended the competition venues to China and the east state of Australia in addition to the Perth main venue this year. The Melbourne sub venue and Shenzhen of China to make it a true international competition.

The distinguished guests attended the Final Contest included: Mr Glenn Dewhurst, the Mayor of Gosnells and his assistant Miss Emma Zhang; Mr Yin Guangjun, the Chief secretary general of Dongguan Chamber of Commerce and the industry elite from China and Australia, nearly 100 audience had witnessed the Final Contest.

The Judging Panel for the Final Round was form by professors and professional elite, including Professor Wei Wang, a Pro-vice Chancellor of Edith Cowan University, Dr Tim Song, the President of AEMS and CEO of Alpha Incubation Group and Doctors and Professors from the University of Western Australia, Edith Cowan University, Curtin University and Murdoch University, and the local industry elites and representatives of relevant departments of the Australian government to judge and assess the nine finalist outstanding projects.

 

Through the intensive competitions, including presentation and on spot Q&A from the Judging Panel, the first, second and third prizes and other Awards were selected and announced at the Award Ceremony.
