After the assessment by the Judging Panel and Mentor Panel Members, the shortlist of the candidate projects for Alpha Innovation Contest has been generated today!
As agreed by all Judging Panel Members, All official documents of the contest will be in English ONLY to avoid any linguistic ambiguity：
Due to the number of the projects as well as for the sake of more presentation opportunities for the contestants, Alpha Innovation Contest Committee has decided to split the First Round Contest into two sessions. 

 

“Alpha Innovation Contest 2018” –Selection Contest

Venue 1 Event Schedule

Time:1:00pm – 4:30pm, Friday 10th August 2018

Venue:ARTS 159 Austin Lecture Hall, UWA

 

11:30 am, AIG team arriving/setting up

12:00 pm, contestants/presenters arriving – register& seated

12:30 pm, Judging penal arriving/register & seated

12:55 pm, Contest starts – Liang Fen: housekeeping andintroduction of VIP Guest and Judge Panel Members (3-5 mins)

 

 1:00pm, Contest begins with short speeches:

 -UWA representative – Congratulation speech

-Professor Wei Wang, Chairman of the Judging Panel announce – attention pointsfor the contestants (2 mins)

Each Contestants are going to presentthe project details in 12 minutes followed by 8 minutes Q&A from judges)

 

 4:25pm, Closing speech: Dr Tim Song

4:30pm, contest ends.

All constentants please read through the below notes carefully:
Note: 

1. All constestants and other team members must arrive at the venue by 12:00pm of the day allocated to your project.

2. All contestants shall submit the final version PPT (English Only) by 10:00am 8th Aug 2018, with 5 hard copies brought to the venue for use of Judging Panel Members (will be collected by AIG field staff). It is also required to bring a USB with your PPT in case there is any unexpected issues of the submitted version on that day.

3. The proceedings of the contest will be a maximum 20 minutes presentation, with 12 minutes presentation by Contestants and 8 minutes Q&A by judging members or advisory members.
